Dr. Chitlur is the director of Jeanne M. Lusher Center for Hemostasis and Thrombosis. She completed her medical training in India and went on to do her residency in Pediatrics at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Dr. Chitlur is recognized nationally and internationally for her expertise in bleeding disorders. She is very dedicated to the treatment of patients with heavy menstrual bleeding and created the Flow comprehensive clinic. She also developed a community outreach program that promotes early awareness of abnormal period symptoms, assists with diagnosing the cause of the abnormal periods and aids in prevention of severe complications that impact quality of life. Dr. Chitlur is actively involved in the Foundation for Women and Girls with blood Disorders (FWGBD).
